Linda established EWI Works (Ergo Works Inc.) in 1991 to provide ergonomics services for both industrial and office environments. She has been involved in large scale projects in healthcare, utilities, forestry, manufacturing and municipalities. Projects have ranged from industrial/office assessments to full scale roll out of an ergonomics program and plan. Linda frequently is involved with organizations to assess current ergonomics programs to identify gaps and help support process improvement in to improve the applications of ergonomics in new equipment/work area and process design.
Linda also has extensive presentation experience at conferences such as ACOEM and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She has also been appointed to the Editorial Board of WORK: A Journal of Prevention, Assessment, and Rehabilitation.
Linda holds a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Medicine (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Alberta, a Master's degree in Environmental Design from the University of Calgary and completed her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Boston University.
Linda is a member of the Alberta Association of Registered Occupational Therapists, the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, and a full member of the Association of Canadian Ergonomics and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society in the United States. She is a Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist and holds American certification with the Board of Certified Professional Ergonomists.
EWI Works provides both consulting and training services in occupational ergonomics. We customize our training to reflect the client's needs and industry. Our experience lies in resource-based industry, utiliites, hospitals and office environments. To service our clients better we have offices in both Edmonton and Calgary.
