Influence of Psychological Health & Safety for Workforce Retention in Long-Term Care Homes

Workforce retention in long-term care (LTC) is critical to meet the needs of adults requiring around the clock nursing and personal care supports and services. This presentation will share insights and findings from a scoping review and mixed-methods research study that examined psychological health and safety and workforce retention in LTC. Findings supported a better understanding of the multi-level influences on psychological health and safety, including 45 priorities identified by a panel of LTC leaders, a conceptual model of implementation barriers and facilitators, and tools to support LTC leaders in their daily work and practice.
